The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) in support of the United Nations Program on Space Applications is delighted to invite you to apply for the SGAC-DARA Big Data Hackathon Competition that will be held virtually from December 1st to December 3rd, 2020. This event is organized by the 4th AF-SGW organizing team and DARA Big Data (Development in Africa with Radio Astronomy), Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD), and the Inter-university Institute for Data Intensive Astronomy (IDiA).
This Hackathon will be organized with a focus on project topics: Image classification and sentiment analysis of Twitter Data (Related to Covid 19).
Note: 40 participants will be selected and grouped for the Hackathon Competition
The selection process for this event is competitive as there are limited spots for the event. Therefore, we encourage applicants to provide as much information as they can in the application questions. Applicants are assessed with their motivation to attend the event and related experience.
Successful applicants will receive an email with further instructions.
