SGC Evening Events
The Space Generation Congress team has been working diligently to provide outstanding evening events to complement the congress programming. This year, SGC will host 3 evening events: the International Night Dinner, Space Night Dinner and Gala Dinner. More to be revealed soon!
Pre-SGC Casual Opening Dinner (Optional) | Wednesday, 24th September 2025
This is an optional casual dinner, the night before the SGC, for people who have already arrived in Sydney. This provides a fun opportunity for the delegates and the organising committee to get to know each other. Everybody would meet up at a predecided location and would pay for their own dinner.
Time: 6-10 pm
Venue: Spice Alley. This location has many Asian cusines bars. Pick your favorite dish and join us at the table. We’ll be share the location and pictures of where we are on the day.
Dress code: Casual
1. International Night Dinner | Thursday, 25th September 2025
This is to get to know your fellow delegates and their culture! Please come in traditional dress – if you can, and be ready to learn more about the many countries that make up SGAC.
Time: 7 – 11 pm
Venue: The Sporting Globe
Dress code: Traditional wear or anything that represents your culture – or business casual
2. Space Night | Friday, 26th September 2025
The Space Night is a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow people in the space industry. This year sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), with Clay Mowry – the CEO of AIAA and the president of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) – giving an introductory speech. The night will be held on a cruise boat around Sydney, so please keep that in mind for your safety.
Time: 6.30 – 11 pm
Venue: Starship Sydney
Dress code: Business casual
3. SGC Closing Dinner | Saturday, 27th September 2025
The SGC Closing Dinner is the grand annual gala event of the SGAC. This distinguished event is a celebration of all the impactful achievements and accomplishments of the SGAC Community over the past year, honouring all of its members, alumni, and sponsors. This also celebrates all the scholarship winners.
Time: 7pm – late
Venue: The Sheraton
Dress code: Formal evening attire
