Airbus is an international reference in the aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, helicopters, military transports, satellites and launch vehicles, and provide data services, navigation, secure communications, urban mobility and other solutions for customers on a global scale.
With a forward-looking strategy based on cutting-edge technologies, digital and scientific excellence, Airbus aims for a better-connected, safer and more prosperous world.
The space industry needs to undergo a true digital transformation.
Leanspace is the bridge between state-of-the-art IT and space technologies. By spinning in the latest cloud & software innovations, we allow companies to easily build digital, collaborative and fully integrated software systems. This will streamline their businesses, drastically reduce their costs and increase their agility.
We provide the digital infrastructure of the future space economy. communications, urban mobility and other solutions for customers on a global scale.
Satellites are fundamental for our future and economy. The internet, goods shipping, autonomous cars, climate change monitoring, tsunami alert system, weather prediction, and many other vital services require satellites to work.
Yet, near-Earth space is like a high-speed motorway network that has been operating without a tow truck for more than 60 years. Meanwhile, space traffic is rapidly getting much denser. This poses a threat to the satellites we depend on.
In 2019, ESA selected ClearSpace from a field of more than a dozen candidates to lead the first mission to remove an ESA-owned item from orbit. The mission actively cleans up space while also trailblazing the technologies needed for future commercial debris removal. ClearSpace-1 will launch in 2025-26.
In the past, abandoned and damaged satellites in orbit have been manually captured and repaired through astronaut-led missions using the space shuttle.
ClearSpace is building the technology to make these missions affordable. The operation to capture an object moving at 28’000Km/h in frictionless microgravity will have to occur in a precise choreography as the slightest contact significantly modifies the object’s trajectory and rotation.
Founded in 1961, the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES) is the government agency responsible for shaping and implementing France’s space policy in Europe.
To execute the nation’s space policy, CNES relies on strong shared values like excellence, enthusiasm and the desire to rise to the challenges that lie ahead. Our 2,357 men and women are working hard to lay plans for the future, make French industry more competitive and sustain scientific and operational excellence. With our four centres in Paris, Toulouse and French Guiana, we are helping to extend the influence of French space policy.
In 2021, CNES is celebrating a legacy of 60 years fuelling dreams and advancing science and technology. Today, society is in need of space and at CNES we are ready for a new decade of space exploration with you.

Get rid of the drag in your hardware engineering project
There’s hardly a product development project that isn’t delayed, over budget, or all over the place.
The reason: at its heart is a complex set of data, which, in most organisations, still doesn’t have a digital home. And when dozens of engineers have to manage dynamic data in disparate documents or with homegrown systems, your project suffers – in terms of time, quality, cost – and your valuable talent wasting time on the wrong things.
Valispace helps your engineers escape from document hell. It brings all of your ‘loose’ engineering data into one central place and helps you streamline your engineers’ efforts from concept to test. And that slashes development time, boosts quality, and cuts costs across all your projects.
Created in 1972, the 3AF (Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France) is the French learned society of Aeronautics and Space. Its purpose is the advancement and promotion of aerospace sciences and techniques. Its activity is largely linked to that of industry and research, i.e. in France to that of the aeronautical and space industries and associated high technologies. 3AF is also in close relation with the services and organizations of the State.
Founded in 2019, the Grand Est regional group of 3AF covers the former Lorraine, Alsace and Champagne Ardennes regions. The Grand Est has the advantage of having many higher education and research institutions, a modest but established aerospace industry, under development and organized in a cluster, as well as an immediate border with three essential contributors to European space (Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg).
The regional group 3AF Grand-Est aims to:
● Make the link between this emerging industry and higher education and thus create a stronger demand for an aeronautical industry in the Grand-Est
● Highlight the regional aerospace industry, with innovative Start-ups and SMEs (Venture Orbital Systems, Nimesis Technology), established industries (Safran, Leach International) and suppliers
● Develop a “will for space” with conferences towards schools and student project (in 2021, the 3AF Grand Est started a project with student from Nancy school of Mines about ISRU steel production on Mars)
● To ensure that France benefits from the knowledge and skills that will be generated by the Luxembourg space boom

The International Space University, founded in 1987 in Massachusetts, US and now headquartered in Strasbourg, France, is the world’s premier international space education institution. It is supported by major space agencies and aerospace organizations from around the world.
The graduate level programs offered by ISU are dedicated to promoting international, interdisciplinary and intercultural cooperation in space activities. ISU offers the Master of Science in Space Studies program at its Central Campus in Strasbourg. Since the summer of 1988, ISU conducts the highly acclaimed two-month Space Studies Program at different host institutions in locations spanning the globe and more recently the Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program. ISU also offers online and hybrid courses. ISU programs are delivered by over 160 ISU faculty members in concert with invited industry and agency experts from institutions around the world. Since its founding, 30 years ago, more than 5200 students from over 110 countries graduated from ISU.
