9th South American Space Generation Workshop (SA-SGW 2025)

The South American Space Generation Workshop (SA-SGW) is the annual event of the South American region, providing an opportunity for our members to engage in dialogue about regional and local space issues. In its 9th edition, the SA-SGW is coming back to Peru, to be organized in the city of Lima. 

This two-day regional workshop will bring together young professionals and students, and industry representatives to engage and nurture the next generation’s perspective on space and scientific matters in the South American region. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with experts from academia, businesses, and space agencies through plenary and panel sessions, keynotes and working group discussions. 

Theme: Shaping a Strategic Space for Science and Development in South America

Objectives:

• Connect students, young professionals and industry, experts, academia and government
• Give delegates an overview of the SA and Peru space sectors and highlight their capabilities
• Ignite new collaborations
• Discover and discuss current space challenges
• Exchange the delegates’ point of views on these topics and share them with the sponsoring companies and the UN at COPUOS meetings
• Provide concrete recommendations to space organizations
