9th SA-SGW 2025 Call for Delegates
1. About Event
We invite you to apply to the 9th South American Space Generation Workshop (SA-SGW 2025) taking place in Lima, Peru on Nov 28th and 29th, 2025 organized by the Space Generation Advisory Council. This event will bring together students and young professionals from across the region.
Guided by the theme “Shaping a Strategic Space for Science and Development in South America”, the event will feature keynotes, panels, and working groups on space law, satellite applications, innovation ecosystems, and education, fostering collaboration and generating outcomes to be shared with international forums like the UN COPUOS.
As part of the 9th SA-SGW, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in Working Groups (WGs). These are collaborative spaces where young professionals, students, and experts from diverse backgrounds will engage in focused discussions, exchange ideas, and propose innovative solutions to pressing issues in the regional and global space sector.
For this edition, the following Working Groups are being proposed:
- Space Science, Engineering, and Development in South America
- Satellite Applications in Agriculture and the Environment
- Space Law and Governance in South America
- Space Startups and Innovation Ecosystems
- Diversity, Inclusion, and Education in the Space Sector

3. Requirements
Applicants must be:
- A registered member of SGAC (Space Generation Advisory Council)
- Students or young professionals between the ages of 18 and 35 as of November 30, 2025.
- If applying as a student: Currently enrolled in an academic institution (college or university)
NB: Proof of academic enrolment may be requested for student applicants.
In addition to delegate registration, we are also considering applications for the role of Working Group Moderator. Moderators play a key role in ensuring that discussions remain dynamic, inclusive, and productive. Their responsibilities include guiding the flow of conversation, encouraging participation from all members, keeping track of time, and helping the group reach actionable conclusions.
Some prior experience in leading groups or participating actively in structured discussions is preferable for this role, as it will help ensure effective facilitation and meaningful outcomes.

5. Important Remarks
LIABILITY
The SGAC and/or 9th SA-SGW 2025 Organisers shall not be held liable for personal accidents, losses or damage to private property of the 9th SA-SGW 2025 delegates
INSURANCE
The SGAC and/or 9th SA-SGW 2025 Organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to 9th SA-SGW 2025 delegates (or their accompanying persons) either during, or as a result of the 9th South American-Space Generation Workshop.

- Registration for SGAC membership is free.
- If you are not an SGAC member, register here.
- If you are already an SGAC member and have problems completing specific fields (e.g. date of birth, nationality,…) during registration, try updating your SGAC profile first
