2026 Managers

SGFF 2026 Manager
Rebecca Sutton (She/Her)
Rebecca has been a 3-time SGFF delegate, former organizing team member and SGFF Deputy Manager, and is now serving as the SGFF 2026 Manager. She currently works as the Lead of Electron Orbital Mission Management at Rocket Lab, and has held previous roles in spacecraft AI&T, software development, program management and leadership. Rebecca is excited about the prospect of Space permeating all facets of life (thanks sci-fi) and is passionate about bringing global perspectives together through events like SGFF.
Fun Fact: Rebecca can do a cartwheel with no hands!

SGFF 2026 Deputy Manager
Amelia Batcha (She/Her)
Amelia serves as the Manager for Orion’s Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) systems and as the Program Manager for the NASA Docking System (NDS). In these roles, she leads the development and delivery of docking technology enabling safe spacecraft on-orbit mating of the Orion and Gateway vehicles in support of NASA’s Artemis missions. She will also serve at the Trajectory console in the Mission Evaluation Room (MER) for NASA’s upcoming Artemis II mission. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University.
Fun fact: Amelia has eaten delivered pizza that was ordered from space.
2026 Communications Team

Aayushi Doshi (She/Her)
Aayushi Doshi is an Astrophysics Data Analyst at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. She holds an interdisciplinary Master’s degree in Space Studies from Rice University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from India. Her background spans astrophysics research, engineering science, and student-led CubeSat missions, with a particular interest in the intersection of space science, systems thinking, and program coordination. A Global Grant Recipient at SGFF 2025, she is now part of the organizing team for SGFF 2026, contributing to the design of meaningful experiences for the next generation of delegates.
Fun fact: She’s happiest working at the intersection of space science, people, and big-picture ideas—bringing together technical, policy, and next-generation voices from across the global space community.

Lily Allen (She/Her)
Lily proudly considers herself a space, science, and superhero enthusiast! After she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering, she began her career as a Test Engineer at Sierra Space, where she worked on the Dream Chaser spaceplane. Her role focused on integrating hardware and software systems and supporting major environmental tests, including vibration and thermal vacuum testing. She is now transitioning into a satellite test engineering role, which is taking her from her home state of Colorado to Texas…An exciting next chapter in her journey in the space industry. She loves being part of Space Generation because it allows her to contribute to making space more accessible while expanding her understanding of space policy and its impact on the future of exploration and innovation!

Jiho Yun (She/Her)
Jiho Yun is a medical student at Sungkyunkwan University with a deep passion for space medicine and medical AI. As an aspiring researcher in space omics, she focuses on bridging the gap between healthcare and space technology. Jiho is a dedicated community builder who founded the volunteer support team ‘SMILE’ at Samsung Medical Center and orchestrated large-scale medical AI events to foster interdisciplinary collaboration. After gaining invaluable insights as a delegate at SGFF 2025, she is thrilled to contribute to the SGFF 2026 Organizing Team. She is also actively working to revitalize the SGKorea community to connect local talent with the global space sector.
Fun Fact: She once performed traditional Korean dance on a stage at the National Assembly! She loves bringing the same grace and energy from the stage to the complex world of space medicine.

Ayumi Tsuyuki (She/Her)
Ayumi is a Northrop Grumman engineer. She has a degree in biomedical engineering from Duke and is currently doing her Master’s at Columbia. Lastly, she is studying for her private pilot’s license!
2026 Programs Team

Christine Dubbert (She/Her)
Christine is an operations manager at Interlune, supporting the mission to sustainably gather lunar resources for the benefit of life on Earth. Christine has over 9 years of experience in the space sector, working on both ISS and Artemis at NASA’s Johnson Space Center and the Space Development Agency’s Tranche 0 program. She holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Obi Anyadiegwu (He/Him)
Obi Anyadiegwu is an engineer at Lockheed Martin working across space systems and defense, with experience in manufacturing, program management, and the integration and maturation of low-TRL technologies. His work centers on bridging early-stage innovation to flight- and mission-ready systems through cross-functional collaboration and systems-level thinking. Obi holds a degree in Mechanical and Energy Engineering from the University of North Texas. He is passionate about expanding access to space and defense careers through nonprofit engagement, with a focus on supporting underrepresented and underserved communities. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, playing board games, and reading.

Gidon Gautel (He/Him)
Gidon Gautel is an MS Electrical and Computer Engineering student and Fulbright Scholar at Boston University. Gidon’s research and projects focus on space robotics and hardware acceleration. He previously worked as a Project Manager and Analyst at BryceTech, where he led analyses on space business, technology, and policy. An enthusiastic analogue astronaut, Gidon has participated as a Commander and Crew Engineer in missions organised by Space Health Research (Scotland), ICEE.Space (Iceland), and CU Boulder (MDRS, Utah). He is dedicated to advancing space industrial development, and previously co-chaired the Moon Village Association’s Lunar Commerce Working Group. Gidon loves scuba diving, snowboarding, and reading science fiction.

Brenden Swanik (He/Him)
Brenden is a 2025 Payload Pioneer, 2025 ViaSat Rising Start & 2025 IAF Emerging Space Leader. He works with Voyager Technologies supporting Strategy Operations. Brenden is also the founder & Host of the Chasing Space Podcast, a media platform seeking to provide a clear and accessible way to learn more about the intricacies of the international space economy. He holds a BS in Honors Biomedical Engineering from the University of Delaware and grew up in New Jersey.

Estelle Martin (She/Her)
Estelle Martin is a recent graduate from MIT in Aeronautics & Astronautics and in Technology & Policy, with a background in mathematics and physics from École Polytechnique. She recently joined Loft Orbital as a Spacecraft Deployment engineer. She is also active in international space policy and industry communities.
Fun fact: she’ll say yes to a spontaneous adventure faster than to a carefully planned one.
2026 Delegates Team

John Rangel (He/Him)
John graduated with an aerospace engineering degree from Texas A&M University in 2016 and started working at NASA’s Johnson Space Center as a contractor. He transitioned to the civil service in Jan. 2025 and now leads NASA’s Commercial Crew Program (CCP) and Orion’s parachutes analysis teams. Outside work, he is the Chair of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Houston.
Fun fact: He volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem in Houston’s family court system for eight years, where he helped guide abused and neglected children into safe, stable homes.

Sadie McCarthy (She/Her)
Mercedes “Sadie” McCarthy is a Flight Controller at NASA Johnson Space Center, where she specializes in Attitude Determination & Control (ADCO) and Propulsion (PROP) for the International Space Station and Artemis missions. She earned her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and was named a Brooke Owens Fellow in 2018. A four-time SGFF delegate, Sadie is thrilled to give back to a community that has continually inspired her. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, baking, and creating stained glass art pieces.

Andrew Murphy (He/Him)
Andrew Murphy is a Senior Spacecraft Engineer at Optus Satellite & Space Systems who leads day-to-day GEO flight operations and propulsion system expertise in manoeuvre and orbital design, collision avoidance, and rapid anomaly response across Optus’ multi-platform fleet. He has broad flight-operations experience on GEO and LEO satellite platforms from procurement through to decommissioning. He led and main-authored a publication at IAC 2025 for on-orbit star-tracker characterisation with Jena-Optronik; which he initiated following the 2024 IPMC workshop in Milan, for which he led the team on Knowledge Management in Space Organisations. Andrew served as Programming Team Lead for SGC 2025 and is an active as an IAF committee contributor. He holds First Class Honours in Aerospace Engineering and Physics (UNSW). Within SGAC, he’s focused on building rigorous, inclusive programs that bridge engineering depth with real-world impact—mentoring young professionals while advancing responsible space operations and autonomy.
Fun fact: Andrew is a triplet with siblings Daniella and Chris – and he is constantly learning believing that “the day you stop learning, is the day you die”; He has been picking up AI tool development as a hobby over the last year!

Silas Wang (He/Him)
After spending most of his career in Hollywood, Silas Wang is curious how his non-technical background might fit into the space and aerospace ecosystem—preferably without having to go back to school to learn advanced math. He is currently the Head of Talent & Brand Partnerships at DramaBox, a Los Angeles–based microdrama company. Originally from Beijing, Silas moved to the U.S. to study film producing at USC and later worked as a talent agent at UTA, bringing experience in storytelling, cross-cultural collaboration, and public-facing partnerships.
2026 Logistics Team

Andrew Steen (He/Him)
Andrew is a Sr. Constellation Operations Engineer at BlackSky in Seattle, with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He’s passionate about space policy, geopolitics, and history, and spends his free time exploring interests in music, design, fashion, gaming, travel, and language leaning.
Fun fact: he once shared drinks with Bill Nye – twice in one week!

Brearne Chen (She/Her)
Brearne Chen is a Senior Network Engineer in Australia’s space industry, working across RF engineering, antenna and system design, and satellite spectrum regulation. Her role spans antenna testing, RF analysis, and late-night working group discussions on international spectrum coordination. She first joined SGAC as the Logistics Lead for SGC 2025 and now continues in this role for SGFF 2026.
Fun fact: She’s lactose intolerant but is willing to risk it all for ice cream, cheese, and anything remotely dairy.

Brian McCarthy (He/Him)
After receiving his Ph.D. from Purdue University in Aerospace Engineering in May 2022, Brian started working at NASA’s Johnson Space Center as a mission designer on the Artemis program. He currently serves a mission design lead for Gateway, NASA’s planned lunar space station, and is helping design trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions. Prior to graduate school, Brian worked as a flight dynamics analyst at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center after double majoring in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering at Virginia Tech.
Fun fact: Brian used to play in a punk rock band in Washington, D.C.
