Space Technology for Earth’s Atmosphere (STEAm)

Overview

The Earth’s atmosphere consists of all the gases which surround the solid Earth, which provide the ability for life to exist, and protect us from space weather. Space technology is used to track changes in the atmosphere, particularly to provide weather predictions and track long-term trends. This is of vital importance to life on Earth, to allow humans to know what conditions they can expect and must prepare for, and how human activities affect and alter the atmosphere dynamics at play.
