The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), the Batangas State University (BatStateU) - Aerospace Engineering Students' Society (AEROESS), and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) have joined forces to hold the very first online webinar dubbed “SPACEtacular”, which will take students, researchers, and other young space enthusiasts on an exciting opportunity to learn about the recent advancements in space technology, research, and innovation. This interstellar collaboration will embark on the overview of the Philippine Satellite Program and will uncover the fundamental concepts on lean satellite missions and utilization, small satellite systems engineering, and the general satellite project management process to be delivered by Filipino engineers who pioneered in the development of the Philippine’s small satellites. Join us as we learn their incredible achievements in promoting and sustaining a robust Philippine space ecosystem that adds and creates value in space for and from Filipinos and for the world.
SGAC x ECSL collaboration comes back with the 2nd edition of the Model UN COPUOS! Join us for 3 days of discussions during Model UN Committee on the Uses of Outer Space! Representing one of the United Nations Member States, you will discuss the topics of sustainability of outer space. As such, you shall fit within your assigned Nation’s beliefs and political or economical interests, negotiate with other countries, and try to shape the future of Space Law!
SGAC is pleased to announce Tobias Fonseca, Sophia Castro, Kevin Sánchez Ramírez, and Monserrat Pereira González as the winners of the 2023 Flying Comets Scholarship by Orbital Space Technologies, Astralintu and Verne Technologies. The winners will be sponsored to attend the 4th North, Central American and Caribbeans Space Generation Workshop to be held on September 9th-10th 2023, in San José, Costa Rica.
SGAC in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are pleased to announce Kaitlyn Guhl as the winner of the 2023 SGC/IAC – NASA Exploration Scholarship.
This workshop is part of SGAC's Space Mentoring Program and will be open to existing SGAC mentees as well as registrants of the wider public. It aims to provide additional career development resources for space-interested students and young professionals on navigating space careers in the different regions, and increase mentorship opportunities for the next generation of youth.

SGAC has partnered with CubeSpace Satellite Systems to bring 3 (three) students or young professionals to attend the 21st Space Generation Congress: 28 – 30 September 2023 and the 74th International Astronautical Congress: 2 – 6 October 2023, in Baku, Azerbaijan. After a very thorough selection process, the Selection Committee composed of SGAC Co-Chairs, Former Executive Director, Chief of Staff, members of the Executive Committee, and members of the Advisory Board has chosen Nikol Koleva to become the Deputy Executive Director (DED) of SGAC.
Building on the success of the regional workshops around the world, the second edition of Middle East Space Generation Workshop (ME-SGW) will be organized in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 6-7 September 2023 at the University of Bahrain ME-SGW is a two-day regional event which aims to gather university students, young professionals, experts, academia and industry representatives from the Middle East all together. ME-SGW will provide the participants with an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen the regional network and will prepare the ground for discussions about how to enhance the space industry in this region. The two-day regional event will bring together Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree candidates, young professionals, experts, academia, space agencies and industry representatives to participate through a series of workshops, panels and keynote speakers.
