The 2026 International Space Solar Power Student Competition is a global, undergraduate and graduate level annual event presented by SPACE Canada, in partnership with the the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Power Committee, International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Space Solar Power Permanent Committee, and National Space Society (NSS), is in its tenth year.
SGAC has partnered with SEDS USA to bring 1 student or staff to attend the Space Generation Fusion Forum 2026 and the first day of the 41st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, USA.
SGAC and the Maui Economic Development Board are in the process of planning the 2026 EMER-GEN® Program in conjunction with the AMOS Conference. With an intensive 3-day program, September 13-15 2026, EMER-GEN is a joint initiative of the AMOS Conference and SGAC. The program is designed especially for young professionals and college-level students enthusiastic about careers in space.
The African Space Leaders Award aims to recognise four SGAC members for their contributions to the space field in the SGAC region of Africa as well as to provide opportunities to talented individuals to attend the 8th African Space Generation Workshop (AF-SGW) that will take place hosted by the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) and the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Abuja, Nigeria on the 20th – 21st November 2024.
