Toulouse

Toulouse, capital city of the Occitanie region, often nicknamed La Ville Rose (The Pink City) for its terracotta buildings, is more than just a picturesque destination – it is the heart of Europe’s space and aerospace industries.

As the home of CNES (the French Space Agency), Airbus, Thales Alenia Space and numerous space-related companies and research institutions, Toulouse plays a crucial role in advancing space exploration, satellite technology and aeronautical innovation. The city also hosts the Cité de l’Espace, an interactive space museum that showcases full-scale spacecraft models and the latest advancements in space science. With a vibrant student population and a strong network of engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs, Toulouse is a dynamic hub for those passionate about the future of space technology.

France

France is a pioneer in space exploration and one of the most influential players in the global space industry. Through CNES and its collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), France has been at the forefront of major space missions, including the Ariane rocket program, Earth observation initiatives, and Mars exploration projects. The country is a key contributor to the Galileo navigation system and the Copernicus Earth monitoring program, solidifying its position as a leader in satellite technology and deep-space exploration. With world class research institutions, cutting-edge aerospace companies, and a strong commitment to innovation, France continues to shape the future of space science and exploration.

Venue

The hosting venue: Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées

The event will take place at IPSA (Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées), a French aerospace engineering school. Founded in 1961 and also established in Paris and Lyon, the school trains more than 2,500 students each year for Master’s degrees in aeronautics and space engineering. IPSA is located on the left bank of the Garonne river and is easily accessible via the Tisséo network, Toulouse’s public transport service. The IPSA building is just a 10-minute walk from the Patte d’Oie metro station on Line A, a 7-minute walk from the Zénith tramway station and only a 2-minute walk from the Turenne stop on Bus 45.
