Space Generation Congress 2022

The Space Generation Congress (SGC) is SGAC’s annual meeting in support of the United Nations (UN) Programme on Space Applications. Top university students and young professionals with a passion for space will travel from all around the globe to attend three days of the 19th SGC. Up to 150 delegates will enjoy an inspiring and resourceful engagement with their peers at the congress, held in Paris, on September 14-16 2022, prior to the 73rd International Astronautical Congress (IAC).

4th Italian Space Startup Competition

The Italian Space Startup Competition (ISSC) is a startup competition whose area of interest is space in all its facets. During the two days of the event, participants will have the opportunity to interact with experts from the space field and to work in teams, discussing ideas and shaping them into business cases. The participants will benefit from the support of mentors, whose backgrounds and expertise are diverse and covering different areas of the space sector.

Space4Diversity: Promoting Diversity in the Asia-Pacific Space Sector

Gender equality and diversity are becoming very important issues in the space sector. In the Asia-Pacific region, we can see a significant gap in this area. This is becoming heavily important particularly in promoting more women participation in the space sector in the region.

6th African Space Generation Workshop

The 6th African Space Generation Workshop (AF-SGW) is a two-day regional workshop, which brings together students, young professionals, industry experts, and government stakeholders from across the African continent. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for the future leaders of Africa’s space sector to proactively establish strong relationships, exchange ideas and knowledge, and collaborate on novel ways in which space technology can be utilised for the benefit of Africa. The 6th AF-SGWl will take place on the 25th and 26th November 2022, in Rabat, Morocco. The theme for this workshop is ‘#Space4Africa for a more prosperous continent’ and participants will be divided into working groups (WGs), each focusing on a specific sub-theme broadly covering Space Education & Outreach, Space Law & Policy, Space Business, Space Systems & Technology, Space Life Sciences & Applications, AI, Big Data and Quantum Technology in GIS.
