Clarifications
In Colombia, a technician and a technologist are both professionals who have received specialized training in a specific field of study.
A technician typically has completed a technical program that focuses on practical skills and knowledge needed for a specific job or industry. They typically receive a diploma or certificate and may work in entry-level positions such as technicians or operators.
On the other hand, a technologist typically has completed a more comprehensive program that includes both theoretical and practical training in a particular field. They usually receive a degree, such as an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree, and may work in positions such as supervisors, analysts, or project managers.
Both technicians and technologists are considered skilled workers in Colombia, and their services are in demand in various industries such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and information technology.
