Following the growing escalation of the Covid-19 outbreak around the world, the IAF informed us that the International Astronautical Congress – IAC in Dubai will not be taking place this year, but will be postponed (refer: IAF Statement). They are in the process of re-assessing the overall schedule of IACs and will inform us within the coming weeks about the new dates.
The Next Generation’s View on Space for Emerging Countries was organised by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) and the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) on the 25th of April 2019 in Marrakesh, Morocco during the Global Conference on Space for Emerging Countries (GLEC 2019) organised by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and the Centre Royal de Télédétection Spatiale (CRTS), with the support of the Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES).
The first SGAC/IAF Seminar took place in Montevideo, Uruguay, in the framework of the Global Space Applications Conference (GLAC 2018). The event was a complete success with the participation of over 80 students and young professionals from 14 countries.

Please use this form to nominate an SGAC member for the IAF Luigi G. Napolitano Award 2018 for SGAC. SGAC will be reviewing nominations received from the team and selecting a few to be nominated by SGAC.
SGAC is delighted and honoured to be awarded the IAF Excellence in 3G Diversity Award for 2018. The award is intended to recognize IAF member organisations (industry, government, academia) worldwide for outstanding contributions to the fostering of “3G” (Geography, Generation, Gender) Diversity within the space sector. It is an annual award presented at the IAC, but is given only when nominations of exceptional merit are received.
