[SGC / IAC 2022] ASI grants to attend the 20th SGC and the 73rd IAC

The Italian Space Agency (ASI), in collaboration with the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), offers up to 5 grants to Italian university students regularly enrolled in a Master’s course (corso di laurea magistrale), 2nd level Master’s course or a Doctorate course in an Italian university, to participate in the 72nd International Astronautical Congress (IAC) on September 18th-22nd, 2022 and in the 20th Space Generation Congress (SGC), that will be held on 14th – 16th September 2022, in Paris, France.

TWAIL & CAIL: Decolonising Global Space Governance to Empower Global South in New Space

By rethinking the origin story of international law, one which does not exclude the Global South, scholars of the Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) aim to restructure the existing framework of Global Space Governance.  In addition, the Cosmopolitan Approaches to International Law (CAIL) was suggested to work hand-in-hand with the development of TWAIL in space and its governance.

African Union Scholarship for GMES and Africa Second Forum 2021

The African Union has kindly agreed to sponsor 10 African SGAC members to attend the GMES & Africa Second Continental Forum on 6-10 December 2021 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. The African Union is providing funds that will aim to partially cover the round trip travel costs via economy airfare, accommodation, visa costs and possible covid tests. The award will be managed directly by the African Union.
