The Space Generation Advisory Council is looking for an active young space leader from the North, Central America & the Caribbean (NCAC) region to become the next Regional Coordinator (RC) for this Region. This two-year role is a volunteer position that offers a chance to lead and be responsible for the voice of the next generation of young space leaders in the NCAC region, especially as activities and excitement in the region have expanded over the past years in the space sector, and at SGAC.

4th NCAC Space Generation Workshop 2023

The 4th North, Central America and Caribbean – Space Generation Workshop (4th NCAC-SGW) will reunite up to 150 students and young professionals from all over the NCAC Region and beyond. Delegates will have the chance to participate in main nowadays Space Industry discussions. The theme of the 4th NCAC-SGW is: “Space Lessons Learned: Youth Innovation Today, and International Cooperation for an Improved Tomorrow”, addressing topics related to Space Law, Science Diplomacy and International Cooperation, Space for the Sustainable Development Goals, Space Commerce, Mission Development, Telemetry and more. As a result, a final report will be handed over to the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) including the outstanding results of the discussions.

Results of Regional Coordinator Election in the NCAC Region

SGAC held elections in December to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the North, Central Americas and the Caribbean (NCAC) Region. We are happy to announce the selection of Saira Roxana O. (Roxy) Williams (Nicaragua) as the new Regional Coordinator for NCAC.

SGAC announces the winners of the 2022 North, Central America and Caribbean Space Leaders Award

SGAC is proud to announce the winners of the 2022 North, Central America and Caribbean Space Leaders Award 2022 who will be sponsored to attend the 3rd NCAC-SGW event, held June 24-25, 2022 in Houston, Texas, USA. This award recognises the achievements made by the winners and their contributions to SGAC and their regional space community. The award will contribute to round trip travel expenses to attend the event for the four winners. Congratulations to our winners!
