As the term of SGAC Chair, Harriet Brettle (UK), is slowly coming to an end, SGAC is excited to announce that nominations are now open for a new Co-Chairperson. The new Co-Chair will work alongside incoming Chair, Anthony Yuen (Australia), and the Executive Committee to shape the future of SGAC.
The Space Generation Advisory Council is looking for an active young space leader from the North, Central America & the Caribbean (NCAC) region to become the next Regional Coordinator (RC) for this Region. This two-year role is a volunteer position that offers a chance to lead and be responsible for the voice of the next generation of young space leaders in the NCAC region, especially as activities and excitement in the region has expanded over the past years in the space sector, and at SGAC.
SGAC held elections in June/July to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the African Region. We are happy to announce that Tensae Alemayehu Ali (Ethiopia) has been elected as the Regional Coordinator for Africa.
SGAC held elections in May to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the European Region. We are happy to announce the selection of Eleonora Lombardi (Italy) as the new Regional Coordinator for Europe. Detailed election results and the profile of the applicant follows. Eleonora was the only candidate that ran for the election. The majority of the votes supported that candidacy and hence Eleonora has been elected as regional coordinator.
