SGAC held elections in December to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the North, Central Americas and the Caribbean (NCAC) Region. We are happy to announce the selection of Saira Roxana O. (Roxy) Williams (Nicaragua) as the new Regional Coordinator for NCAC.
Regional Coordinator Election in the South American Region
The Space Generation Advisory Council is looking for an active young space leader from the South American region to become the next Regional Coordinator (RC) for this Region. This two-year role is a volunteer position that offers a chance to lead and be responsible for the voice of the next generation of young space leaders in the South American region, especially as activities and excitement in the region have expanded over the past years in the space sector, and at SGAC.
Nominations Open for the SGAC Co-Chair Election 2023
As the term of SGAC Chair, Anthony Yuen (Australia), is slowly coming to an end, SGAC is excited to announce that nominations are now open for a new Co-Chair. The new Co-Chair will work alongside incoming Chair, Hamza Hameed (Pakistan), and the Executive Committee to shape the future of SGAC.

SGAC held elections in January to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the North and Central America and the Caribbean (NCAC) Region. We are happy to announce the selection of Elizabeth Barrios (USA) as the new Regional Coordinator for NCAC.

SGAC held elections in June/July to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the African Region. We are happy to announce that Tensae Alemayehu Ali (Ethiopia) has been elected as the Regional Coordinator for Africa.
Results of Regional Coordinator Election in the European Region
SGAC held elections in May to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the European Region. We are happy to announce the selection of Eleonora Lombardi (Italy) as the new Regional Coordinator for Europe. Detailed election results and the profile of the applicant follows. Eleonora was the only candidate that ran for the election. The majority of the votes supported that candidacy and hence Eleonora has been elected as regional coordinator.
